Renovation works on Poznań Krzesiny Interchange – FINAL STAGE

On the 18th of May began the final stage of pavement renovation on eastern roadway of S11 trunk road in direction of Poznań, which crosses Poznań Beltway on Poznań Krzesiny Interchange. The schedule of temporal traffic system

• There will be an opening of closed slip roads (number 7 with passage from S11 from Katowice to A2 in direction of Świecko and number 8 with passage from A2 from Warszawa to S11 in direction of Poznań);

• There will be a shortening of bidirectional passage on S11 trunk road in direction of Katowice – bidirectional passage will be organized on 200 m of eastern roadway (near viaduct);

• Concurrently there will be a decommissioning of temporal detours organized within the Interchange.

Introduction of further traffic changes is scheduled for 18/19th of May overnight:

• Decommissioning of bidirectional passage on S11 trunk road in direction of Katowice – one-way passage will be redux on all lanes

• On the roadway to Poznań there will be organized Temporal Traffic System due to finalization works:

• Entrance and exit relations will be conducted within the slip roads, without scheduled detours; 
• Passage from Katowice to Poznań will be organized on a single lane on S11 trunk road.

Works cover changes in subgrade and bitumastic layers to brace pavement structure. The executor of the works is Strabag LLC (person to contact: Marcin Szczepański, tel. +48 695 020 857). The finalization of works is scheduled by the end of May this year.

The temporal traffic system was agreed with Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań, City Roads Authority in Poznań and General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Poznań division.
