Renovation works on Poznań Krzesiny Interchange

On Monday, 18th April this year, at 10:00 a.m. begins 4-stage pavement renovation on eastern roadway of S11 trunk road in direction of Poznań, which crosses Poznań Beltway on Poznań Krzesiny Interchange. The works will cause passage difficulties.

The schedule of temporal traffic system:

1. STAGE I: From 18th of April there would be a closure of slip road number 5 (passage from S11 from Katowice to A2 in direction of Warszawa). The detour will be conducted through slip roads number 7, 2, 3. Passage on western roadway of S11 will be organized bidirectionally.

2. STAGE II: On the next stage there will be additional closure of slip road number 6 passage from A2 from Świecko to S11 in direction of Poznań). The detour will be conducted through Koninko Interchange (access by slip road number 4).

3. STAGE III: After the end of works on slip roads number 5 and 6 there will be a closure of slip road number 8 (passage from A2 from Warszawa to S11 in direction of Poznań). The detour will be conducted through slip roads number 2, 3, 6. Passage on western roadway of S11 will be organized bidirectionally. Equally there will be a closure of slip road number 7 (passage from S11 from Katowice to A2 in direction of Świecko). The detour will be conducted through viaduct Poznań Franowo (return by slip road number 1)

4. STAGE IV: All renovated slip roads will be reopened for passage. Equally the passage on both lanes of western roadway S11 in direction of Katowice will be redux and the passage in direction of Poznań (eastern roadway) will be organized single-lane within the Interchange.

Works cover changes in subgrade and bitumastic layers to brace pavement structure. The executor of the works is Strabag LLC (person to contact: Marcin Szczepański, tel. +48 695 020 857). The finalization of works is scheduled by the end of May this year.

The temporal traffic system was agreed with Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań, City Roads Authority in Poznań and General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Poznań division.
