A2 Świecko - Konin | Every kilometer matters

The cost of construction of this section amounts to 1 milliard 298 million EUR, that is 12.2 million EUR per kilometre of a fully equipped motorway.
At the same time AWSA is negotiating a credit facility for the remaining amount with commercial banks. The final conclusion of the credit agreements, that is the so-called „Financial Close” is planned to be achieved by June 30, 2009, to enable the actual commencement of works.
The A2 section to Świecko will be the longest section ever built using the concrete technology. A fully equipped Motorway will be opened to traffic, including Toll Plazas and Stations, Emergency Roadside Telephone System and Rest and Service Areas.
