Thousands of kilometers traveled, hundreds of hours spent behind the wheel and over 160 participants trained in practical driving on the motorway. These are the first effects of implementing the Motorway Driving Course initiated by Autostrada Wielkopolska.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the success of the Motorway Driving Course, Autostrada Wielkopolska decided to extend it to successive months. Driver Training Centers operating in cities adjacent to the A2 concession motorway in the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie provinces can still join the program and together take care of increasing road safety. Currently, 35 centers participating in the Autostrada Wielkopolska campaign trained over 160 participants from August to end October.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the Motorway Driving Course, young drivers have the opportunity to practice maneuvers used on motorways and express roads under the supervision of an instructor. We are convinced that the more participants take advantage of this option, the safer Polish roads will become. Therefore we have continued our cooperation with centers that have already signed up for the program and we are inviting more driving schools – says Krzysztof Andrzejewski, member of the Management Board of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A..<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To sum up three months of the Motorway Driving Course, Autostrada Wielkopolska announced the winner of the competition for the most active driving schools participating in the program. The first place and the PLN 10,000.00 prize went to the Marcin Kukawka HigH Driving School. The second place and PLN 7,000.00 prize was awarded to Marcin Ratajczak AutoSQL center. DB Damian Badura Driving School won the prize of PLN 5,000 for the third place.<\/p>\n

The Motorway Driving Course has been appreciated by the Driver Training Centers and the participants from the very beginning. The program covers all aspects of driving on motorways and express roads, from correct joining the traffic, changing lanes, signaling maneuvers properly, to the rules of using Toll Plazas and Rest and Service Areas. As a result, participants make safer decisions behind the wheel, perform all maneuvers more smoothly and reliably and are able to sense the differences between speeds in the city and outside. In addition, driving on motorways and express roads is the best way to learn how to keep a safe distance between cars. According to the new regulations, such distance is half the read-out of the car speed meter.<\/p>\n

The basic driving course, preparing for the state exam, covers 4 hours of driving outside built-up areas.\u00a0 Autostrada Wielkopolska was the first in the country to initiate the Motorway Driving Course, encouraging training centers to practice motorway driving.\u00a0 The motivation behind the idea is simple: with the number of express roads in Poland increasing every year, all drivers, including newly licensed ones, need to know how to drive safely on such roads.<\/p>\n

The Motorway Driving Course is another campaign allowing for real skills enhancing of future and current drivers traveling on high-speed roads. Partner centers participating in the program can use Autostrada Wielkopolska motorway free of charge to familiarize course participants with specific motorway driving both in theory and in practice already during driving course, which is an invaluable experience – emphasizes Sebastian Joachimiak, member of the Management Board of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Participants, instructors and owners of Driver Training Centers, as well as road users who want to learn about the motorway environment and perfect their motorway driving skills, can use the www.kursjazdynaautostradzie.pl platform to register. After completing the formalities related to cooperation, they can practice driving on the motorway. The starting date for motorway driving depends on the learning program implemented by the Driver Training Center. The honorary patrons of the Motorway Driving Course program are the National Road Safety Council, the Marshal of the Wielkopolskie Province, the Marshal of the Lubuskie Province and the President of the City of Pozna\u0144.
