Already 35 Driver Training Centers carry out a motorway driving course together with Autostrada Wielkopolska under the program aimed at increasing road safety by improving drivers' skills in moving on motorways and expressways. In just two months, the program has been recognized by driving instructors and Driver Training Centers and is very popular with participants in course.<\/p>\n
Drivers' Training Centers operating in cities adjacent to the A2 concession motorway in the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie provinces were invited to cooperate under the Autostrada Wielkopolska program. More centers may still join the project via the www.kursjazdynaautostradzie.pl platform.<\/p>\n
\nDue to the great interest of both driving schools and participants in course, we have extended the registration period for Driver Training Centers. The more young drivers have the opportunity to practice driving on the motorway under the supervision of a professional instructor, the safer driving on motorways and expressways will be. The way to achieve this goal is to support drivers already at the stage of preparing for the driving test. – says Anna Ciamciak, spokesperson for Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The motorway driving course is the first program in Poland which, already at the stage of obtaining a driving license, improves the skills of driving on motorways and expressways. Instructors and the Driver Training Centers are interested in the course and gave their favorable assessment. In their opinion, the program successfully fills the gap in the training market. The number of motorways and expressways in Poland grows every year, while driving on them is currently not a mandatory element of a driving course. Many drivers drive on the motorway for the first time after obtaining their driving license, without having practiced maneuvers characteristic for this type of road.<\/p>\n
\nTraining in high speed conditions is necessary to prepare the participant in course for safe driving in road traffic. Autostrada Wielkopolska has created a project that is unique in the country scale, and I decided to join. So far I have used expressways for training, but the differences can be easily perceived. – says Damian Badura, owner and instructor of the DB Higher Driving School – We practice overtaking maneuvers, changing lanes and joining the traffic. The participant practices maintaining safe distances from the vehicles in front, gradual slowing down before exits and safe and clear informing of other road users about the planned maneuvers. We are familiar with the issues of driving culture, travel planning, the importance of rest, breaks during the journey and parking. I encourage colleagues from the industry to actively use the Autostrada Wielkopolska program during the training of participants. Let us educate together a new generation of drivers who will drive consciously, safely and confidently on every European road.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
To take a preparation course for the driving license exam, including to gain practical skills of driving on the motorway, please visit the Motorway Driving Course website and display a list of schools cooperating with Autostrada Wielkopolska. Choose the center closest to your place of residence and take the course there. If the selected center is not found in the list, please send an invitation via the www.kursjazdynaautostradzie.pl platform to the center of your choice. After giving consent and completing the application and verification, the formalities are finalize and you can start practical training on the motorway.<\/p>\n
The starting date for driving on the motorway depends on the learning program implemented by the Driver Training Center. Partner centers participating in the program have, inter alia, free entry to Autostrada Wielkopolska and the opportunity to participate in the competition. The winning centers will receive valuable prizes supporting their teaching activities. The first edition of the Motorway Driving Course will last until November 2021.<\/p>\n
The course ambassador is Tomasz Czopik, a titled sports driver and expert in improving driving techniques. The teaching materials made available to participants in course and Driver Training Centers include an instructional video in which Tomasz Czopik explains in a practical way how to perform individual maneuvers and what to pay attention to while driving the motorway.<\/p>\n
\n\u00a0Road safety is an area that is particularly close to me, both because of my profession, and because of my automotive passion. For years, I have been involved in activities promoting responsible behavior of drivers and motivating to be more cautious behind the steering wheel. I know from my experience how valuable the advice of older, experienced colleagues can be. These, combined with solid theoretical preparation and maximum concentration on the road, are of great importance in maintaining our common road safety – emphasizes Tomasz Czopik.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
