On the last day of July the second edition of A2 TO CAREER grant project under direction of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. (AWSA) and University of Economics in Pozna\u0144 (UEP) was completed. <\/p>\n

On the last day of July the second edition of A2 TO CAREER grant project under direction of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. (AWSA) and University of Economics in Pozna\u0144 (UEP) was completed. The three grant holders jointly led the experts\u2019 blog for six months, and gained practical knowledge on the motorway operation in Poland and worldwide. The project high professional level was assured by prof. dr hab. El\u017cbieta Go\u0142embska, Head of the UEP Logistics Department and the experts of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. under the direction of Mrs Lidia Szyfter.<\/p>\n

In the scope of the project the students received a monthly PLN 1200 grant for six months from March to July. In the second edition of A2 TO CAREER project the grant was awarded to the UEP students of the Department of International Economics, faculty of International Logistics: Piotr Becela, Rafa\u0142 Ku\u017aniarek and Pawe\u0142 Su\u015bniak.<\/p>\n

In the scope of the project AWSA created the first Polish blog on motorways in Poland and Europe. As the blog editors, the students published 30 texts analysing technological, ecological and financial aspects of motorway operation, and focused on issues related to safety in motorway traffic and education of Polish drivers in terms of appropriate behaviour on the road. The blog structure enables readers to ask questions to the texts\u2019 authors, comment the results of their work and take up discussion.<\/p>\n

A2 TO CAREER project supports the didactic process by integrating theoretical knowledge with practice on the one hand, and on the other hand by completing the education-derived competence with soft skills such as presenting research achievements, discussing in network society, expressing opinions in short text forms, co-operating with both a peer team, and the company employees. We are satisfied as our project was highly appreciated by grant holders of the first and second edition who also recognized it was useful in searching for work. Moreover, grant holders stated that the skills gained during the 6 months training helped them to faster adapt to professional environment \u2013 adds Zofia Kwiatkowska, Spokesperson of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A..<\/p>\n

A2 TO CAREER has been implemented in co-operation with the University of Economic in Pozna\u0144, one of the oldest and most prestigious higher education schools in Poland. UEP is an important, 13 thousand scientific and didactic centre specialising in educating business leaders, highly qualified managerial staff, economic experts and employees of government and self-government services. It owes its reputation to high quality of teaching and unquestionable position of a research leader in economic sciences.
