At the beginning of July Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. made A2 TO EUROPE application available on Facebook, Website and app stores.<\/p>\n

Almost a month from the summer premi\u00e8re, the mobile guide has already been used by over 20 thousand drivers. The application was distinguished in the \u201eThe best July 2014 applications\u201d ranking of gazeta.pl portal. We have now made the English language version of A2 TO EUROPE available to drivers, supplemented with new and practical functions:<\/p>\n

estimation of trip time based on Google Maps data
estimation of the route percentage (including the number of kilometers) to be driven in motorways
presentation of detailed information on tolled roads
In addition, we have prepared animated instructions for all users on how to use A2 TO EUROPE: https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=z2YzjZh6FMQ&feature=youtu.be<\/p>\n

During the 30 seconds film all the basic functionalities of the tool are presented. The user will learn how to plan the route, where to find the information on fees, fines or speed limits in the application, and will also get to know the principles of using the virtual breathalyser.<\/p>\n

\u201eThe English language version with extended scope of functionalities of A2 TO EUROPE application will allow for reaching a larger group of European drivers. The European Commission forecasts show that almost 90% of the European Union citizens plan to go on holiday* this year in a car as the predominant means of transport. It is to that group of drivers that we prepared the English version of the mobile A2 TO EUROPE guide which has already appreciated by Polish road users \u2013 says Zofia Kwiatkowska, the Spokesperson of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A..<\/p>\n

A2 TO EUROPE enables unlimited route planning within the boundaries of 46 European states and shows the following information:<\/p>\n

1. cost of trips within the borders of 46 European countries, including:<\/p>\n

tolls\/vignettes
fees for tunnels, bridges, high mountain roads
fine rates
estimated cost of fuel required
2. length of the planned route<\/p>\n

3. speed limits binding in a given country<\/p>\n

4. important telephone numbers (emergency lines, consulates etc)<\/p>\n

5. mandatory vehicle equipment in a given country<\/p>\n

6. promile info \u2013 the application was extended to include a virtual breathalyser which on the basis of the data entered provides the driver with a calculation of estimated alcohol content in the body and time necessary to wait before the user may safely drive a vehicle.<\/p>\n

Owing to geolocation, the application sends information package concerning car driving in the country where the user is currently staying. The country may also be selected from a list of available countries.<\/p>\n
