{"id":2540,"date":"2022-07-21T13:41:38","date_gmt":"2022-07-21T13:41:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test2.autostrada-a2.pl\/uncategorized\/press-relase-28\/"},"modified":"2022-10-24T09:14:06","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T09:14:06","slug":"press-relase-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/a2.codocaine.com\/en\/news\/press-relase-28\/","title":{"rendered":"EIB CREDIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A2 MOTORWAY TO \u015aWIECKO!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>On 12 May 2009 the European Investment Bank granted to AWSA a credit facility in the amount of 1 milliard EUR, with the option of the additional 200 million EUR, for the construction of a 106 km section of A2 motorway from Nowy Tomy\u015bl to the German border in \u015awiecko.<\/p>\n<p>This EIB credit facility is the biggest commitment ever in an infrastructural project in Poland. The EIB credit amount constitutes 70% of the project price estimated at 1 milliard 650 million EUR. The cost of construction of this section amounts to 1 milliard 298 million EUR, that is 12.2 million EUR per kilometre of a fully equipped motorway.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time AWSA is negotiating a credit facility for the remaining amount with commercial banks. The final conclusion of the credit agreements, that is the so-called \u201eFinancial Close\u201d is planned to be achieved by June 30, 2009, to enable the actual commencement of works.<\/p>\n<p>The A2 section to \u015awiecko will be the longest section ever built using the concrete technology. A fully equipped Motorway will be opened to traffic, including Toll Plazas and Stations, Emergency Roadside Telephone System and Rest and Service Areas. The Austrian Strabag will be the General Contractor.<br \/> The construction schedule agreed with the government provides for the motorway opening to traffic prior to the EURO 2012 Championship.<\/p>\n<p>The project scope includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>105.9 km of a new concrete pavement motorway, including upgrading of 18.8 km of the existing national road no 2<\/li>\n<li>76 bridges and overbridges \u2013 86 as a target<\/li>\n<li>2 Motorway Maintenance Centres (Ilanka, Bia\u0142y Mur)<\/li>\n<li>6 full motorway interchanges \u2013 8 as a target (Nowy Tomy\u015bl, Trzciel, Jordanowo, Torzym, Rzepin, \u015awiecko)<\/li>\n<li>6 Rest and Service Areas &#8211; 10 as a target (Rogoziniec, Chociszewo, Koryta, Walewice, Sosna, Gnilec) equipped with parking lots, toilets, children playgrounds, 4 bars and 4 petrol stations<\/li>\n<li>closed toll collection system, including 5 Toll Plazas and Stations (1 Toll Plaza in the motorway mainline in Tarnawa, 4 Toll Collection Stations in the motorway interchanges in Nowy Tomy\u015bl, Trzciel, Jordanowo and Torzym). Drivers will pay for the actually covered kilometres, as they take a ticket when entering the motorway, and pay toll when exiting the motorway in the interchanges;<\/li>\n<li>full environmental protection equipment (environmental ponds, noise barriers, isolating green, animal passes, safety equipment \u2013 emergency roadside telephone every 2 km, fencing along the whole motorway (except for the interchanges)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More detailed information: Zofia Kwiatkowska, AWSA Spokesperson, tel.
