On September 7th 2011 at 1 o’clock, in Imio\u0142ki by Lednica Lake near Pozna\u0144, the official opening of one out of eight convalescent homes, assigned for rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy, took place. <\/p>\n

The author of the idea and the executer of this venture is the Patria Foundation which brings help to the disabled, and mainly to all unwanted and rejected children.<\/p>\n

The home called “Autostrad\u0105 do zdrowia” (On the motorway to health) was founded on dr Jan Kulczyk’s initiative by the companies connected with the construction of A2 motorway to \u015awiecko –\u00a0 Autostrada Wielkopolska II S.A., Autostrada Eksploatacja SA, Strabag Sp. z o.o. and A2 Strada Sp. z o.o. The estimated cost of building one home is around 300,000 PLN. Its construction took several months. It is one of the first homes that Patria Foundation is planning to creaste in Imio\u0142ki. There are five rooms in the home (4 bedrooms with bathroom included and one integration room). The guests shall also have a kitchen annex at their disposal so they can make their breakfast and supper. The home is designed for 7 people. There will also be a speech therapy room and rehabilitation room.<\/p>\n

“We very much cared for our company not only to build a modern motorway, but also to help the weakest”, admits the president of AWSAII, Andrzej Patalas. “The co-operation with the Patria Foundation gave us this opportunity through building the convalescent home in Imio\u0142ki”, he adds.<\/p>\n

There shall be 8 convalescent homes in Imio\u0142ki. The building of swimming pool and gymnasium is also planneed. Everything shall be located in the professional Rehabilitation Centre with medical, treatment and social infrastructure. All building shall be created with the use of the modern ecological methods. Beside the main building, where physical therapy, hydrotherapy and kinesiotherapy will take place, there will also be a hippotherapy stable, as well as occupational therapy workshops.<\/p>\n
