International Conference Modern Aspects of BRD Safety – Rescue – First Aid

More than 300 representatives of the police, army, municipal guards, special services road managers, paramedics as well as companies and institutions that are committed to improving road safety in Poland took part in the XVIII International Conference ” Modern Aspects of BRD Safety – Rescue – First Aid”. Our contribution to driver education was also present – learning to drive on motorways and expressways during the Motorway Driving Course was one of the topics discussed at the conference.

The main modules of the conference were road safety in Poland and medical rescue, as a part of road safety. The cooperation of services with drivers and their effective education in effective assistance was widely discussed. There was also no shortage of topics related to ecology, non-emission transport, modern vehicle functions and intelligent transport systems, or the education of 50+ drivers. The organizers also took care of modules on driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. This is, unfortunately, still a hot topic in our country.
We were proud to discuss the achievements in training drivers in motorway and expressway driving techniques under the Motorway Driving Course. This program, launched in 2021, has been a success among young drivers and has been appreciated by road safety authorities and institutions in Poland since its establishment.

The conference was organized by the Center for Road Safety and was held under the patronage of, among others, the European Commission and the National Road Safety Council. Autostrada Wielkopolska together with the Operator, Autostrada Eksploatacja, were Partners of the event. The conference was held on December 7, 2023.
