“Contemporary Faces of Road Safety – Infrastructure – First Aid” XIX International Conference

More than 300 experts and representatives of services responsible for road safety in Poland took part in the 19th International Conference “Contemporary Faces of Road Safety – Infrastructure – First Aid.” The event held on 7 November 2024 became, as every year, a platform for exchanging experiences and promoting new solutions to improve safety on Polish roads.

Key themes of the conference

The conference focused on three main areas: road safety, the role of infrastructure in road user behavior, and medical rescue services. Issues of cooperation between services and drivers and their education in first aid were raised. An important highlight was the presentation of the “You have one life – get tested” campaign and the solutions implemented on the motorway for premedical first aid and ensuring the safety of drivers.

Modern technology and ecology

Topics related to modern technological solutions were discussed, such as intelligent transportation systems and low-emission vehicles. The experts also stressed the importance of educating drivers in the 50+ group and the need to combat the problem of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Cooperation at the highest level

The organizers of the conference were the Road Safety Center in Łódź, the Education, Health and Safety Foundation and the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdansk.
Strategic partners were Autostrada Wielkopolska and Autostrada Eksploatacja.
