A2 Świecko - Konin | Every kilometer matters
Autostrada Wielkopolska has been developing a network of EV charging stations out of concern for the environment and in response to growing drivers’ demand. Currently, 9 electric vehicle charging stations are situated on the A2 concession section between Świecko and Konin. Polenergia has recently launched 400 kW ultra-fast chargers at Chociszewo Rest and Service Area (approx. km 85 of the A2). These are the fastest liquid-cooled charging stations in Poland.
We are constantly improving the scope and quality of our services, ensuring drivers’ comfort and safety. The development of an EV chargers’ network reflects our care for drivers, who are increasingly choosing to travel by electric car, and the environment. When selecting charging station suppliers, we were seeking guarantee of high quality service to provide the best possible options for the Autostrada Wielkopolska users. We are striving to develop a network of charging stations on the concession section of the A2 motorway to be available at each of the 22 Rest and Service Areas between Świecko and Konin – says Sebastian Joachimiak, Member of the Management Board of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A.
The first phase of the project included the electric vehicle charging stations put into operation at the Chociszewo Rest and Service Area. Ultimately, Polenergia, Poland’s largest private energy group, will install chargers at eight Rest and Service Areas along the A2 concession section between Świecko and Konin: Chociszewo, Rogoziniec, Dopiewiec, Konarzewo, Targowa Górka, Chwałszyce, Skarboszewo and Lądek. The charging station network at the remaining Rest and Service Areas (Koryta, Walewice, Wytomyśl, Kozielaski, Gozdowo and Sołeczno) will be built by Allego B.V.
Charging stations for trucks, currently rare in Poland, will be operational in two locations (Chociszewo Rest and Service Area and Rogoziniec Rest and Service Area.
Polenergia eMobility is building a dense network of charging stations across the country. Today, the fastest charger in Poland joins the network as a flagship product. The 400-kilowatt devices will offer drivers the ability to recharge electric vehicle batteries in several minutes. The rapid development of charging infrastructure in Western Europe is a fact. Our action comes in response to growing demand from drivers using Poland’s roads. We believe that the technological leap we offer our customers will trigger further rapid growth of the Polish electromobility sector – says Jerzy Zan, CEO of Polenergia S.A.

Cooperation with Polenergia is crucial for us. The implementation of Poland’s first publicly accessible station of such high capacity along an expressway is important for the development of European charging infrastructure. It is symbolic that we are implementing this project along the Motorway of Freedom connecting Western and Central Europe. We were chosen because of our reliable technology – says Bartosz Kubik, Co-Founder and CEO of Ekoenergetyka-Polska S.A.
