Free of charge passage for passenger vehicles from Ukraine on Autostrada Wielkopolska

Driven by the sense of solidarity with the civilian population affected by war hostilities, Autostrada Wielkopolska abolishes tolls for the concession section of A2 Motorway for inhabitants of Ukraine.

As agreed with the Ministry of Infrastructure, and with MI support, the company made the decision to exempt Ukrainian passenger cars from tolls on the entire A2 concession section between Świecko and Konin. Tolls will not be collected for trips of passenger cars registered in Ukraine, i.e. holding Ukrainian registration plates. Autostrada Wielkopolska will also support the trips of convoys with humanitarian aid.

Facing the tragic situation of war, many Ukrainian families seek refuge in their families, friends and people of good will in Poland or even further, in the west of Europe. We decided to grant free of charge passage to passenger cars traveling from Ukraine and humanitarian aid convoys heading to Ukraine. In this symbolic way, we wish to show our solidarity with the Ukrainian nation and make it easier for refugees to travel to a safer tomorrow – says Krzysztof Andrzejewski, member of the Management Board of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A.

How will it work in practice? All you need to do is to report to a toll collector in a toll booth at the Toll Plaza.

Facilitations are also provided for the transport of migrants from the Ukrainian border by cars registered in Poland. However, such trips should be previously reported and agreed upon with Autostrada Wielkopolska. Similarly, convoys with humanitarian aid going to Ukraine will be able to apply for an exemption from tolls on the entire concession section of the A2, i.e. between Świecko and Konin.
