New Temporary Traffic Management between Poznań Zachód – Poznań Komorniki interchanges from 29 July

The works are underway on the construction of the third traffic lane in the north carriageway of the Bypass between Poznań Zachód – Poznań Komorniki interchanges (155km+870 – 158km+700). The new Temporary Traffic Management will come into effect as of Monday 29 July. At the same time works are being performed between Poznań Luboń and Poznań Krzesiny interchanges.

New Temporary Traffic Management between Poznań Zachód and Poznań Komorniki interchanges will be implemented from Saturday 27^th July until Sunday 28^th July. As of Monday 29^th July drivers will have 4 traffic lanes available in the southern carriageway of that section: two in the Warsaw direction and two in the Świecko direction, without emergency lane in both directions. At the same time completion works will be carried out on the entire width of the north carriageway to extend the Bypass by building the third lane and replacing the existing pavement.

–“The works on the Poznań Bypass have been smoothly progressing, and traffic management has frequently changed recently. Therefore we ask drivers, especially those using the Bypass every day, not to drive automatically. Particular attention should be paid both to signage, and to marking. “If drivers follow traffic signs and limit their speed to 70 km/h, the trip in that section will surely be safe and calm” – says Michał Pabich, project manager of Autostrada Wielkopolska.

At the same time works are being performed between Poznań Luboń and Poznań Krzesiny interchanges. Drivers in the southern carriageway (carrying traffic from Świecko in the direction of Warsaw) will use the emergency lane. On the northern carriageway (in the direction of Świecko) three traffic lanes are available (without the emergency lane): two in the Świecko direction and one in the Warsaw direction. Drivers driving that lane towards the capital do not have the possibility of exiting the motorway in the Poznań Krzesiny interchange. That lane is recommended for all vehicles, including heavy vehicles making a transit trip in the direction of Warsaw.
