In the section between Poznań Komorniki and Poznań Luboń interchanges, bituminous layer on the new, third traffic lane of the Poznań motoway Bypass is being finalised. New noise barriers will be installed before Easter.

The extension works go ahaed in compliance with the plan. More than 200 people work on the building site every day. 

Thanks to appropriate work organisation, the first effects of the extension of the Poznań motorway Bypass can be already seen by drivers and citizens of Poznań – says Zofia Kwiatkowska, Press Officer of Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A.. – By the end of this week the new bituminous layer will be put on the new, third traffic lane. Banks are being made on the second traffic lane in paralell,  which allows us to continue our works smoothly – ensures. 

A2 Motorway is the main internal transport channel connecting eastern and western part of Poland. About 65 thousand vehicles drive in the bypass daily, meaning that almost 23 million drivers use the bypass during the year. The extension of the Poznań motorway Bypass is the first project of such complexity ever implemented in the motorway “under traffic” in Poland. The total investment cost amounts to PLN 200 mln and is fully covered by the investor, Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A..
