Renovation works on and within Świecko Interchange

On the 15th of May, at 7.00 begins pavement renovation of slip roads on Świecko Interchange, on the crossroad of A2 motorway with trunk road DK29. All works will be conducted in three parts.

1. Pavement renovation of slip roads on Świecko Interchange – scheduled for 15.05-8.06.2017
2. Pavement renovation of trunk road DK29 – scheduled for 9.06-23.06.2017
3. Pavement renovation of trunk road DK2 – scheduled for 24.06-15.08.2017

Dates are only approximate; schedule can warry due to weather conditions.

First part of Świecko Interchange renovation, the pavement of slip roads, will be divided into eight stages. None of relations on the Interchange will be closed, just narrowed. There will be temporal traffic system:

STAGE I: 15-17.05.2017 – Renovation of slip road B with a passage from trunk road DK29 from Zielona Góra to A2 in direction of Poznań and slip road E with a passage from trunk road DK29 from Słubice to A2 in direction of Poznań – milling and roads amendment, works on slip roads conducted separately.

STAGE II: 17-18.052017 – Renovation of slip road E with a passage from trunk road DK29 from Słubice to A2 in direction of Poznań – pavement layering.

STAGE III: 19-21.05.2017 – Renovation of slip road B with a passage from trunk road DK29 from Zielona Góra to A2 in direction of Poznań – pavement layering.

STAGE IV: 22-24.05.2017 – Renovation of slip road A with a passage from trunk road DK2 from Świeco to trunk road DK29 in direction of Słubice and Zielona Góra – milling, road amendment and pavement layering.

STAGE V: 25-26.05.2017 – Renovation of slip road C with a passage from trunk road DK29 Słubice and Zielona Góra to trunk road DK2 in direction of Świecko – milling and roads amendment, passage partially leaded on temporal road.

STAGE VI: 25-28.05.2017 – Renovation of slip road A with a passage from trunk road DK2 from Świeco to trunk road DK29 in direction of Słubice and Zielona Góra, slip road B with a passage from trunk road DK29 from Zielona Góra to A2 in direction of Poznań and slip road C with a passage from trunk road DK29 Słubice and Zielona Góra to trunk road DK2 in direction of Świecko (passage partially leaded on temporal road) – reconstruction of road surface markings, works on slip roads conducted separately.

STAGE VII: 29.05-1.06.2017 – Renovation of slip road C with a passage from trunk road DK29 Słubice and Zielona Góra to trunk road DK2 in direction of Świecko – pavement layering, passage partially leaded on temporal road.

STAGE VIII: 2.06.2017 – Renovation of slip road D with a passage from A2 from Poznań to trunk road DK29 in direction of Słubice and Zielona Góra – milling and roads amendment.

Works are conducted within and on Świecko Interchange, at the height of 2,0 to 3,4km of motorway. Renovation is mainly bracing the pavement that covers changes of wearing course and lower layers of construction (where’s needed).

Renovation is guided on schedule, after 6 years from takeover by AWSAII into exploitation from General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. Another modernization of Świecko Interchange area is planned for 2030.

Works are conducted in double day shift, renovation crop works also on alternate weekends.

The executor of the works is Strabag LLC (person to contact with: Marcin Szczepański, tel. +48 695 020 857). The finalization of works is scheduled for the 8th of June.

The temporal traffic system was agreed with Provincial Police Headquarters in Gorzów Wlkp., General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Zielona Góra, Autostradą Wielkopolską Inc, Autostradą Eksploatacja Inc, National Road District in Słubice. German side was informed about renovation of Świecko Interchange by executor of works.
