FACEBOOK AND TWITTER PROFILES OF AUTOSTRADA WIELKOPOLSKA WITH TRAFFIC INFO!

Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. (AWSA) as the first and only concessionaire in Poland, established its Facebook and Twitter profiles.

• Fully open profiles have been active since 1 June on URL: facebook.com/autostradawielkopolska and twitter.com/autostradawlkp
• The social media are meant to supplement the modern European information system consistently implemented by AWSA for drivers. Drivers traveling on the concession section of A2 motorway may also use: 

1. the 24 h emergency telephone number (+48 61 83 83 112),
2. the telephone (+48 504 422 022) and email (infolinia@awsa.pl) hotline available 7 days a week
3. new website, mobile version and English version

• On top of that come the traffic updates for drivers that are broadcast every hour in Polish Radio (Merkury and Zachód Radio) due to the cooperation between the radio stations and AWSA.

Additional Information:
• In view of the forthcoming Football European Championships, the holiday period and the traffic growth forecast, AWSA has seen to it that the users of the concession section of A2 are provided comprehensive communications. To this end, AWSA used the tool that the users are most familiar with (Facebook and Twitter). These websites offer the fastest and most interesting opportunities to reach the drivers, establish a dialog and – most of all – to deliver useful information to them.
• The microblog Twitter offers drivers the most recent traffic updates on any existing or potential traffic hindrances that may affect a smooth trip. Updates are issued twice a day on fixed hours (7 days a week at 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.) followed by the latest developments on A2.

• The Facebook AWSA Fanpage will be the place for an open dialog with A2 users. It is the priority for AWSA to respond as quickly as possible to any problems and questions raised by fans and to provide nothing but useful and interesting information.
