Closure of Krzyżowniki and Tulce Service Areas from August 3

Due to the ongoing expansion of the A2 motorway to include a third lane between Poznań Krzesiny and Poznań Wschód interchange, a new traffic pattern will be introduced on August 3 near the Krzyżowniki and Tulce Service Areas (km 176 A2), which will involve the temporary closure of these Rest and Service Areas (MOPs).

Starting Saturday, August 2, road crews will begin implementing elements of a new temporary traffic organization near the Krzyżowniki/Tulce MOPs. Temporary lanes will be marked for vehicles traveling on the motorway, and warning, mandatory, and prohibitory signs related to the construction will be installed.

From August 3, the following traffic organization will be in effect due to the expansion:
• Between Poznań Krzesiny interchange and km 176 A2, traffic will remain fully shifted onto the northern carriageway, which will have four lanes: two in the direction of Warsaw (against the usual flow) and two toward Świecko. Heavy vehicles will be banned from using the left lanes in both directions. The emergency lane will not be available, and a speed limit of 60 km/h will apply in traffic shift areas.

• The southern carriageway of the motorway will also be closed to traffic between km 176 and 177. Traffic in both directions will continue to use the northern carriageway (as from km 171). Drivers will have two lanes available in each direction—toward Świecko and Warsaw. The emergency lane will remain unavailable, and heavy vehicles will still be prohibited from the left lanes in both directions.

• At this stage of work, MOP Tulce and MOP Krzyżowniki will be closed. The nearest available service areas are:

• MOP Targowa Górka (km 200 A2, southern carriageway) – for drivers heading toward Warsaw – no fuel station
• MOP Gozdowo (km 216 A2, southern carriageway) – for drivers heading toward Warsaw – fuel station and fast food restaurant available
• MOP Czerlejno on road S5 – for drivers exiting the motorway at Poznań East interchange toward Bydgoszcz
• MOP Dopiewiec (km 151 A2, northern carriageway) – for drivers heading toward Świecko – no fuel station
• MOP Sędzinko (km 133 A2, northern carriageway) – for drivers heading toward Świecko – fuel station available

• Around km 177, traffic heading toward Warsaw will be shifted back to the southern carriageway of the motorway.

The construction area is carefully designed and secured, and all activities are carried out in line with safety regulations and standards.
