Following the completion of part of the works related to the expansion of the A2 motorway to three lanes on the section between km 176 and 177, the Krzyżowniki and Tulce Motorway Service Areas will reopen on August 19 and 20.

On Tuesday, August 19, the final works related to the addition of the third lane near the Krzyżowniki Service Area are planned to be completed, and access to this Service Area, located on the southbound carriageway towards Warsaw, will be opened. The following day, Wednesday, August 20, the Tulce Service Area on the northbound carriageway will be opened.

On the section between km 171 and 176 of the A2 motorway, a full diversion of traffic to the northbound carriageway will still be in place.

On the northbound carriageway between km 171 and 176 of the A2, four traffic lanes have been marked out: two towards Warsaw and two towards Świecko. On the left lanes in both directions, heavy goods vehicles are prohibited. The emergency lane is not available. In the areas where traffic is diverted, the speed limit is 60 km/h.

Around km 176 of the motorway, traffic heading towards Warsaw will be restored to the southbound carriageway.

The above work schedule may change due to weather conditions. We are making every effort to ensure that the expansion works progress efficiently, on time, and with minimal impact on driver comfort. We are aware that the presence of a construction site may cause temporary inconveniences, and we thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We also urge drivers to be especially attentive and cautious in areas where works are being carried out. Just beyond the barriers separating traffic from the work zone, there are not only machines but, above all, people working. The construction site has been carefully designed and secured, and all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable standards and safety regulations.

However, remember that safety also depends on drivers’ behavior. Therefore, we ask: Notice. Slow down. Adjust your speed to the conditions, follow the signage, and exercise extra caution. Together, we can ensure that road workers can perform their duties in safe conditions.
